One day while cleaning some of the junk in the shop, Dawn accidentally pricks her finger on a broken spinning wheel, awakening none other than Maleficent. But Barrie soon learns not growing up isn't all that great, and Captain Hook, the most dangerous and bloodthirsty pirate in history, wants his hook back. When he discovers a rusty old hook in the maritime museum, with a note promising that the owner will never grow up, he takes it and slowly realizes his wish has been granted. His parents and older sister always seem to be stressed out all the time, and being an adult doesn't look like much fun. Eleven-year-old Barrie doesn't want to grow up and start junior high in the fall.
